St Stephens Lutheran College is Gladstone's only P to 12 school; one of 26 Lutheran schools in Queensland. A Community Kindergarten is also located on our grounds. As a caring Christian community we value the dignity and personal worth of each student because they are seen as a special creation of God. Our curriculum structure incorporates stage based learning, journeying, phonics, and a broad elective program. Our special focus upon visual art and music extends across the college. Frequent small class sizes means that students receive much more individualized help from staff. Many students are on special programs to accelerate or consolidate their learning. Our close community has meant that students have been supported and encouraged to be confident in stepping out and contributing effectively in sporting, cultural, camping and academic pursuits. The college is supported by an efficient bus fleet which enables vocational, service and learning experiences to be easily extended into the local community. The effective wireless network and modern library support independent learning. The college aims to equip students to embrace the future, strive together, and walk with God. Our motto, 'Today the classroom, tomorrow the world' reflects our forward looking focus.
